In 1956 Mr. Boerge Kjaersland did established his company producing wooden ware and household items. Ten years later, Mr. Kjaersland set up his own factory with production of gift items made out of teak wood, but closed it down in 1976 when the Thai Government banned all export of teak wood. He then transferred his production to a Thai factory and manufactured his own collection and exported it to Europe . The owner of this factory later became his partners for BK-TRADING (THAILAND) CO., LTD whom in the meantime had switched their production to rubber wood which was better as this came from plantation wood and environmental friendly. Actually Mr. Kjaersland was among the first one to introduce rubber wood in Europe for the purpose of household items and small furniture.
BK-TRADING (THAILAND) CO., LTD was founded in 1987 and from then on, business relationships in Europe built up.
